Quick update on the happenings at the Bacsik Household.
Mike- enjoying his job as producer on local sports talk radio station (he gets to talk sports for a living after playing a sport for a living.... what a lucky guy!)
I went back to work full time after spending the summer home with the kids (AMAZING!!! ..... the summer with the kids..... not working full time!) I DO like working, it's just challenging with raising 2 children and growing another one! I will work up until my due date which is January 30th.
MG- started Pre-K and LOVES it! She learned how to blow a bubble, spell "Mom, Dad, Jake and Car, and love" learned some simple addition and continues to be the life of house. If it is quiet...... she is asleep or getting into mischief (never bad, just fun!) She is smart and will probably be reading in the next few months. She loves her little brother and is the best big sister in the world, in fact she is ready to be a big sister again and informed me..... "Mommy, you don't have to get up in the middle of the night with the new baby...... I will do it for you!" SCORE!!
Jake- finally started talking- he says "Mommy, Daddy, Grace, Yes, Mimi, Phoebe (our neighbor), Pop (which works for my dad and Mike's dad- Poppie and Pops), car, truck, dog and baby." He runs...... FAST! He can throw a ball and often adds a windup like a pitcher.... watch out Daddy! He loves watching "the game" with his Daddy.... Basketball, Football or Baseball!
Now, on to Christmas...... It was AMAZING! Both kids had a great time and when they are happy..... their mommy and daddy are happy.
The next stop was at my Dear Friend Kelly's house for our Annual "Best Friend Christmas Party" Pictured from left to right- Elena and Lainey; Kelly and Luke; Monica, Ava and Ella; Jenny, Wyatt and Brooke; Me, Jake and MG.
Christmas Eve was spent at Mike's Parent's House!
Drew, Tanya and Allie braved the winter storm to come celebrate with us! (Yes, Dallas had it's first White Christmas since 1991!)
Jake got some tools from Gram and Pop........
And MG got her American Girl Doll named Kit!
Christmas morning was SOOOOOOO much fun!
Santa came and left presents in our stockings!
Santa brought Jake a "Motorcycle!" and MG a soccer ball, barbie furniture, Moxie Girl Dolls, and lots of books!
That evening we headed to the Farm to spend Christmas Night and "repeat Christmas morning" at my parents.
This is Jake's favorite person, Poppie and favorite place to be, with his Poppie at the farm
And this is one of MG's favorite places to be.... next to her Lady reading a story.
The next morning we woke up and did a "Repeat Christmas Morning" with my family. Santa came AGAIN! In addition to Santa we continued my families home made Christmas gifts which were as amazing as always. Visit my brother's blog for the details...... he is much more eloquent and has great pictures.
After a busy morning Jake and Poppie were tuckered out!!
That night we all sat around a bonfire, roasted marshmellows and caught up on each others lives.
It was the first time, in a very long time, we were all together for Christmas.... and it was the BEST CHRISTMAS EVER!
